CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR Re visits the combat fields of World War II, it visits the realistic locations of the main combat fields in Germany and Japan . It also has many dramatic story elements make this trip to the past feel serious yet not the same as the other games. The remote and Nunchuk perform great in combat, despite a few missteps, but the Wii Zapper was just meant for this game. The great variety of weapons make firefights intense and satisfying. In the campaign, you play as two soldiers. The first is a Russian soldier, who along woth his team try to push out of their homeland and into the heart of Germany . And then the American soldier who struggles to wrest Pacific islands from the Japanese. You will alternate between them every few levels, though the campaign feels like one solid progression thanks to the clear and concise level transitions. Each soldier's journey begins at a low point. They have no weapons and are surrounded by the enemy. In this game you feel the despair that many soldiers have never forgotten. The emotional tone eventually rises from despair to triumph. The first few levels are quite hard since you and your fellow soldiers are desperately trying to gain a victory for your country, whereas later levels are all about the hard won battles and the soon to come triumph as you get closer and closer to the capitols of the nations. Each level has an unique yet surprisingly familiar background as each is set in a new and war distressed city. Each level has a head officer which tells you where to go and what to do while setting the tone with a dark and action packed dialogue. If you thought that this was cool wait till you hear about the online multiplayer. Take your skills online and start playing in World at War's excellent multiplayer system. The thing that hooks you in is the experience points, which you gain by winning matches or completing one of the many of the in-game challenges (such as getting a certain amount of headshots). As you earn these points, you'll rank up and earn access to new weapons, and new accessories (such as sights and suppressors), and new and creative perks. Perks are special moves that give you a variety of bonuses, but you can only choose three. This introduces many new and creative customizations. The multiplayer is great for the price. All in all this game is well worth the money for the campaign, yet alone the massive online multiplayer. Therefore, I am absolutely positive that this game is definitely PASSED.
