Sonic Unleashed Review

Sonic Unleashed is an action-packed game that involves your favorite blue character Sonic the hedgehog. This game starts off in an evil geniuses lab. He is blowing up some of the planets. This causes Sonic to have a  weird reaction it turns him into a werehog. When sonic turns into a werehog (which only happens at night) he grows in size and loses his speed which causes him to have a bigger urge to fight. When the stages are in daylight, you rejoin your favorite character as he runs through rings and jumps to his destinations. You play most stages as the werehog since this game is set around fighting, but the sonic stages feel like a new reality as it feels like more of  a different game. But the night stages are less exciting and more about using the same repetitive wii moves to fight some very forgettable villains. They are still enjoyable since most of the night levels are also about navigation. The graphics are great in this game and so are the camera angles. The camera angles move around as you run on the loops and it is still in high resolution as you fight your enemies too. The most enjoyable part of the game is the view when you are flying trough the levels as the hedgehog. The controls are very responsive and can be changed for your enjoyment. Sonic Unleashed for the Wii is completely different from its high-definition counterparts, and is stronger for that. The hedgehog's speed is captured quite well here, letting you fly through levels with ease. The werehog sections are a bit too plodding, but the platforming sections are still quite enjoyable. It's just a shame that you'll spend more of your time controlling the werehog than the hedgehog. Even if you have to endure a few too many werehog fights, it's still worth playing through this adventure just to see Sonic sprint again. For these reasons, i have PASSED this game.
