SHAUN WHITE SNOWBOARDING: ROAD TRIP is a fun and exciting new Wii game that uses both the wii remote and the wii balance board which creates a very intuitive control scheme. This game didn't do good on the other systems because their controls, but the wii version is sure to be a hit. This game doesn't stick to the same old boring coin catching snowboarding game that eventually gets really boring. This game focuses on tricks and points which creates a game which never seems to get boring. This game is about going around the world to look for Shaun White while you snowboard at fictional resorts. The main idea of the gameplay is to try to do as many tricks as you can on each course. This both provides fun when you are having fun on your favorite slopes, but you have a time limit to stay in. Though you have a time limit, there is usually enough time to finish the level comfortably so there is really no need to rush. You go through each level and collect new characters who then join your team. Each character has a different personality so they are good at different things. You can also race other snowboarders which gives a new twist to the game. The last part of each level is about collecting things. They are usually located on a grind rail or on a slope so they are fairly easy to locate. To get them you' ll need to pull of a lot of cool and interesting stunts which will entertain you while your playing. In co - op you can race with your buddies or just play the campaign with them. You can play with up to three of your friends in the co-op mode. The camera is also great which gives you a heads up when a tree is coming up or helps you get ready for a very high jump. The graphics are very cartoony which provides a cool feel to the whole game. There are also many obstacles that raise the level of difficulty so that the game isn't too easy, yet it isn't to hard. When the snowboarders fall it is also very realistic because they look like they are in pain, and when they get up they are completely covered in sow. This game lets you hit the slopes in the safety of your home, but it feels like you are actually snowboarding. For that reason, I have PASSED this game.
